About Me

Hi there!  I’m Jackie!

I’m a former teacher who traded in a job in education to work a corporate 9-5…so I could travel more! (Wait..what?) That’s right, I gave up those summer breaks (which seriously is the most expensive time to travel) for a remote 9-5.

I’m still working full-time, but I can take my job with me this time!

Check out my featured interview with Insider about how trading my teaching job for a remote 9-5 helped me increase my income by $20k and have the work-life balance I desired.

If you’ve followed me on my journey so far, you know that I didn’t let my career stop me from traveling before. I’ve visited so many amazing places during my vacation time, and while my work is more location-flexible now, I’m still out here showing you how to balance your career and travel the world.

As I embark on this new remote work and travel journey, I hope to connect with you and help you to live your very best life.

You can travel the world and hold down a full time job!

I make traveling and experiencing the world a priority.  You don’t need to quit your job to be able to travel the world.  I have taken international trips in as little time as a weekend and for as long as a month… all on a teacher’s salary!

My friends and family often ask… how do you have the time/money to travel so much? With some planning and flexibility, it is definitely possible to make traveling work with your schedule and your budget.

Since 2010, I have been traveling the world in so many different ways: by studying abroad, volunteering, and simply traveling for a vacation.  Solo trips, family travel, girls’ trips, couples’ getaways…  I’ve traveled to over 15 countries and 4 continents.

Being flexible and taking a few solo trips when no one else could commit to a trip has helped me travel so much more!

I want to share how I make travel a priority in my life… balancing work, family, and my unstoppable wanderlust.  Through this blog, I hope to share and collaborate with my fellow travelers.  I want to help you make your travel dreams possible now… fitting with your schedule and your budget.

Fill your life with experiences of a lifetime!
